Lauren contacted me back in March looking for a twin newborn studio photographer in Colorado Springs. I always love the challenge of a twin newborn session, so I got back to her quickly letting her know I was on board. I have photographed quite a few sets of twins in the past and always produced great results. Twins can be much harder to photograph because you have two babies to work on soothing and photographing rather than one. I normally tell parents of twins to expect 3-4 hours in the studio for feedings, soothing and photographing.
Luna and Nova came to the studio within 10 days of birth with their two beautiful mommies. They were so sweet and so sleepy. This made for great twin photography conditions! Right away, I was able to jump in start photographing both girls. It is always so interesting to me how one twin is always more dominate. They were both so sweet, but Luna was the more dominant twin. They were still easier than most newborns who come in the studio though, so I am not complaining 🙂
This session was such a breeze, and we finished within a few hours and both girls were easy to get back to sleep as long as they were fed and changed. Both mommies did a great job too, they even jumped in for the last part of the session which is always memorable for the family. I am really hoping to photograph the milestones for these sweet girls in the future. Watching babies grow and documenting it, is truly one of my favorite perks to being a photographer.
